(1) Ondina Soler says:

I had a pair of Lovebirds, the Female died, (as we thought for over a year), they had begun mating and I saw the male actually being on top of the female. she died and he was left with one lone egg. I searched for a Female Love Bird and found one, thinking I had a Male. Yesterday, there was one lone egg in the nest – after 6 months since the original Female had died. To day, as I’m placing the New Female into a clean cage with my Male, I found 3 eggs in the nest! Question is: Can a Male Love Bird lay an infertile egg? I’ve heard stories about Male Cockateils laying eggs…
Please Reply, thank You! Ondina Soler
