Codys tricks

My little weiro Cody can do a few little tricks, she will shake your finger, wave at me when I say hi, and turn around in endless circles, she also learnt a little whistle you would use to call the dog :)

Paris squawking on outside cage perch.

Paris thinks he should be center of attention every day. He does silly little acts or whistles/talks songs/phrases children would do for attention. Paris dislikes getting a bath. I have learned to allow him to dart under the water stream numerous times and/or pour/splash water around/on the bird body to achieve a complete clean feathered bird body. When all feathers have been groomed, I put some baby oil on his beak and legs/feet/toes. I must allow Paris plenty of grooming time before I begin my oil grooming. I always reward him with special little treats when he has been an excellent little bird buddy. His treats are Fruit bits or Sun Chips. When I carry him back to the bird Veterinarian, he sings and talks while we are driving. When we arrive, he always ask her what does she want. He soon realizes the answer when she begins trimming and clipping. When we begin the quiet journey back home, he plays shut beak. When we arrive home, I carry him to his bird room or our sun room.

Cockatiel tricks

Many people think cockatiels aren't very smart but they are really quite intelligent if you take the time to train them. My 'tiel is only a few months old and on command: flyies to me, waves, turns in a circle, climbs a ladder and can indentify the colours green and red.

tricks

Coco- certain songs on radio, she sings along. food dish side cage, if not secure, pushes out, resulting broken dish, listens on the phone -plays with ball hanging in cage- bounces up & down to jazz- rock music- speaks sentences- enjoys being misted- sitting on shoulder, gets tour of house- scares our cat.

sing

I taught my bird to sing when I ask him to. This is how I did it: everytime he sung I would say sing and give him a treat. by repeating this step several times a day after a week he understood that whenever i said sing he had to sing. this is a very simple trick, and i hope u enjoy it.
