Teaching Birds How to Talk

Saturday December 27, 2008
If you are a parrot owner, then chances are that you want to maximize your pet's talking ability. After all, a parrot's gift of speech is one thing that sets them apart from other pets! For some tips on building your feathered friend's vocabulary, check out this step-by-step article on Teaching Parrots to Talk. With practice, there's virtually no limit to what your bird can do!

Remember, not all bird species can talk, and even those that have the ability sometimes choose not to use it. To determine if your bird is a good candidate for speech training, do a bit of research on your pet's species. Some birds are known to be better talkers than others, so you shouldn't expect your pet to say more than he or she is capable of.
