So, You Want a Talking Bird...

Tuesday August 19, 2008
You've made the decision to become a bird owner, and you know one thing for sure: you want a parrot that will talk its heart out! Birds that can talk are obviously very entertaining, but not all birds that have the ability to talk will, and some talk more or less than others. If you have your heart set on getting a chatty little friend, then check out my FAQ on Choosing a Bird that Will Talk. It will show you how to maximize your chances of choosing a bird with wonderful speaking ability.

Remember also, that if you want a bird that talks, they scream too. some of the screams are ear piercing and if you live close to people ( in an apartment or close neighborhood) It will begin to irratate those around you. My bird started screeching before she said her first word, and it is also like having a child with you. The more time you spend with it the better they are, but spend less time, and the screams get louder and louder.
