Taking time to bond with your bird is essential to building a long lasting and successful relationship with your pet. Birds are not domesticated and operate with a flock mentality, so forming a bond with your pet is crucial to helping him understand that you are his friend. The strength of the bond between you and your bird will greatly influence the quality of your pet's life, as well as your ownership experience.

If you need help getting a shy bird to warm up to you, check out my new article on effective ways to bond with your bird. They will likely help if you find that your relationship with your pet could use some work.

Also, you can spend time around your bird and read a book to him in a jolly voice for about 10 minutes everyday. This will get your bird us to you and after about a week, you can start to rest your hand at the bottom of his cage and leave it there, this will show your bird that you are no harm and maybe hold a treat in your hand so he comes on your hand and eats the treat, most birds prefer millet spray which can be purchased at any local pet store. Good Luck with taming your Finch I hope I helped. Thanks!
