Should Your Bird be the First "Bird of the Week?"

In the two years that I've been the Pet Birds Guide, I've had the opportunity to get to know some amazing people and equally amazing birds, and I feel like it's time to give you, the readers, the chance to show everyone just how great your feathered friends are. Starting immediately, I will be accepting submissions for a new "Bird of the Week" feature. I will choose one bird each week to write a short article on and feature on the front page of the site. If you would like to submit your bird, please send an email to birds.guide@about.com with the following information:

• A clear and crisp photo of your bird in .jpg format (min. 200 pixels)
  
  
• Your bird's name, age, species, and sex (if known)
  
  
• Background information on your pet (where you got him/her, etc.)
  
  
• Your bird's likes and dislikes in regards to toys, foods, etc.
  
  
• Tricks that your bird can do, including talking
  
  
• Any other fun information about your pet

I will notify the owners of the birds that are selected by email before the features are published. I look forward to receiving your submissions and getting to know all of your fabulous feathered friends!
