Saving Feathers Can Save a Life

Wednesday September 13, 2006
Next cage cleaning day, don't just toss your bird's beautiful molted feathers away -- use them to help save other needy birds! Fine Feathered Friends Sanctuary of Wisconsin has a program in which bird owners can donate their molted feathers to the organization. The feathers are then sold to an artist that the group works with, who transforms the feathers into beautiful artwork. All profits from the feathers go directly back into funding the sanctuary, and as we all know, keeping birds can be expensive! Visit their website for details on how you can help.
